We are looking for an Assistant Document Controller to join our team in Sheffield. This is a crucial support role where you will have the opportunity to manage and organise project documents to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with internal and external regulations. Reporting to the Document Controller, you will assist them in maintaining an efficient document control system across several projects. Salary: Up to £25,000, depending upon skills and experience. You will: Register and track drawings, technical queries (TQ), Request for information (RFIs), specifications and submittals in compliance with project requirements. Maintain version control for engineering documents/drawings. Ensure proper transmittal of documents and drawings to external project stakeholders. Maintain drawing/documents registers, logs and DMSs. Use specific document management systems (e.g. DALUX, Aconex, ACC etc) Archive accepted project drawing/documents for future reference or litigation purposes. Handle confidential documents securely. Distribute documents to relevant project stakeholders and team engineers. Retrieve files on the request by approved personnel. Scan, photocopy and archive drawings and documents. Prepare reports and documentation for meetings. Work closely with project managers, engineers and subcontractors to ensure timely document approvals. Assist in preparing documentation for audits, inspection and handover. Ensure that all document /drawings comply with company policies and industry standards (ISO, GDPR). Ensure all documents meet legal and contractual obligations. We are looking for: Experience and Knowledge Familiarity with general process workflows. Experience with collaboration tools: MS Outlook, MS Teams etc. General IT Proficiency: MS Office (Excel for register etc), Adobe Acrobat.
