Position Description
Position Summary
This part-time as needed position is responsible for supporting all university functions such as conferences, events, meetings, worship services, and activities with sound, lighting, and audio/visual technical support.

Associate Degree
Experience Required
Substantial experience in the operation of complex sound,lighting and video systems. Demonstrated work experience in Customer Service.
Experience Preferred
At least one year as a sound engineer, lighting or sound design, or related position in a professional, academic, or house of worship environment.

Special Working Conditions
Ability to perform physical labor and lift 50 lbs. or more when required; ability to ascend stairs and ladders; ability to work from heights. The position requires stamina to stand for long periods of time.
This position requires frequent evening and weekend work.
Driving Requirements
Must have valid drivers license and insurance. This position may require the occasional operation of university vehicles.

Primary Duties
1. Support the set up, operation and tear down of all sound, lighting, and audio visual technical requirements for all university functions and events on campus.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve all technical difficulties experienced during an event in a timely and efficient manner.
3. Monitor the safety and upkeep of all technical areas, facilities, and equipment on campus. Service, maintain, and make minor repairs on equipment.
4. Work with student technicians and help them to develop their technical skills.
5. Maintain punctual and reliable attendance when scheduled.

1. Provide event and organizational support as needed with the Office of Conference and Event Services.
