We are looking for someone with a real passion for design and interiors to join our exceptional team of kitchen designers in an assistant role. deVOL has become synonymous with a distinctive style and understated quality; something our designers are taught and become highly skilled in perfecting for every customer. Your job will involve assisting and working alongside our senior designers throughout the kitchen design process, including: Drawing up customers' room plans and their requirements to create kitchen layouts, using Draftsight, under the supervision of a Kitchen Designer Assisting and being involved in customer design meetings and ongoing design work Creating customer kitchen quotations using MS Office. Meeting and greeting customers in the showroom as well as answering and directing telephone enquiries. Working with all the deVOL designers to keep the quality of design and service impeccable for every customer. This is a full-time role that begins with a 1-3 month training period based at our Cotes Mill showroom in Leicestershire, set within 12 acres of meadows and riverbanks just outside Loughborough. Nearby accommodation can be provided if needed. After the initial training period, the role will transition to our Tysoe Street showroom. This role is office-based and requires a daily presence in our showroom. You will be required to work 1-2 Saturdays a month, with a day taken in lieu. We would love you to: Have a creative qualification or passion related to furniture or interiors. Be excellent at organising and prioritising your time. Have minimum GCSE grades (or equivalent) of A-C in English and Maths. Have experience working in a customer-facing role. Have a great eye for detail, a flair for design, and a desire to create exceptional work. Prior experience of using CAD software would be beneficial but not essential. We offer a competitive starting salary, depending on experience. During your first year, you’ll receive full training and regular performance appraisals, with opportunities for pay reviews as you progress in the role.
