Moog Commercial Aircraft Group Tewkesbury is seeking a proactive and experienced Facilities Maintenance Team Lead to manage a small team of maintenance technicians at our Tewkesbury Campus. This hands-on leadership role ensures the seamless execution of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), low-level building maintenance, and small works projects—all within a 24/5 operational environment. You’ll drive safety, compliance, and team spirit, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external contractors to support smooth manufacturing operations and ensure facilities are running at peak efficiency.
Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate the facilities maintenance team across day-to-day operations
* Ensure timely execution of PPM activities including fire alarm checks, water temp recordings, and lighting tests
* Manage compliance with HSE and statutory regulations, including hazardous materials protocols
* Oversee rapid response to breakdowns to minimize production disruption
* Support energy efficiency initiatives and infrastructure upgrades
* Keep accurate maintenance logs and records for audit-readiness
* Communicate effectively across all business levels to foster productive collaboration
* Rotate schedule availability to support shift workers across three 8-hour shifts, where applicable
Role Scope
* Team leadership of up to 6 personnel
* Oversight of operational continuity and reactive work responses
* Influence over multi-department collaboration and external service providers
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
* 3–5 years' experience in facilities engineering or building maintenance
* Proven team leadership and mentoring ability
* Knowledge of health and safety protocols and water hygiene (L8 ACOP preferred)
* Strong technical understanding of building systems (electrical, heating, plumbing, etc.)
* Ability to read technical documentation and schematics
* Full UK driving licence
Desired Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in a relevant trade
* Certifications in Legionella, PAT testing, F-Gas, HVAC, or 18th Edition
* Health & Safety training and familiarity with ISO/HSE audit standards

You’ll play a key role in maintaining continuity for a complex infrastructure that includes clean rooms, HVAC systems, and specialized manufacturing spaces.
