Located in Presteigne, Summergil House School offers a truly unique learning environment, set within 18 acres of fields, woodlands, a stream, lake, swimming pool, and sports hall. Here, children with autism and complex needs are supported to feel safe, respected, and inspired. As part of our team, you’ll play a key role in providing engaging learning opportunities both inside the classroom and outdoors, helping students to achieve their full potential and build lasting memories.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll be:
1. A SEN Superstar: Champion bespoke learning strategies tailored to pupil needs.

3. A Creative Collaborator: Support teachers with lesson planning, activities, and assessments.
4. An Empathy Expert: Work patiently with small groups of pupils with complex needs.

6. A Positive Vibe Promoter: Encourage positive behaviour and a supportive atmosphere.
7. An Independent Innovator: Use creativity to bring learning to life.
8. An Avid Adventurer: Help organise fun off-site activities.
9. A Care Champion: Support pupils with routines, breaks, and personal care when needed.
What we’re looking for:
10. At least 12 months’ experience in a similar role.
11. A qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent).
12. GCSEs in English and Maths.
13. Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication.
Please Note: This position involves working with children in a regulated capacity and requires an Enhanced DBS Check, including a Barred List Check.
