Your Role
Lead the onsite residence staff at EF Eastbourne this summer, enhancing your leadership skills and guiding groups from the unfamiliar to the unforgettable. If you thrive in a sociable, fun, yet challenging environment, we want to hear from you. As a Residence Manager, you'll create amazing memories, manage an international team, and hone organizational and communication skills. Our Residence Manager roles are available for 4-12 weeks during June, July & August, on a fixed term contract and with permanent opportunities available afterwards.
Responsibilities
1. Working with the summer management team to deliver an exceptional experience to our students. A live-in position that sees you having the overall responsibility for a hotel/residence and the students/staff who are staying there
2. Support a team of international leaders to ensure our students have a home away from home experience
3. You will take care of room allocation, supervise a team of leaders and ensure the hotel staff work in harmony with your team
4. You will liaise with residence owners and staff on anything from cleaning to theme events and safety
Requirements
5. A flexible approach to hours of work undertaken is essential
6. Experience of managing or leading a team desirable
7. Highly motivated, energetic, positive
8. Customer service orientated, friendly & approachable manner
9. Able to remain calm under pressure & to diffuse potentially difficult situations
10. Sensitive to needs of international students living away from home
11. Excellent communicator with students, colleagues, and external clients
12. Attention to detail, organized & thorough
13. Clear background check and two references
