We are supporting our strategic client in the UK on their c£5bn capital investment programme to transform their infrastructure. Opportunities exist for Cost Consultants/Managers with MEP experience along with NEC4 pre-construction and construction experience.
You’ll be responsible for:
1. Supporting programme development in the production of early budgetary estimates.
2. Developing effective business relationships with portfolio team members in supporting the attainment of team objectives.
3. Developing effective business relationships with stakeholders in ensuring adoption of functional.
4. Quantity surveying best practice in the delivery of portfolios.
5. Providing functional quantity surveying expertise and support to the wider programme delivery businesses.
6. Undertaking reviews of contract adherence across programme delivery.
7. Undertaking contract compliance audits.
8. Supporting the commercial function in the evaluation of, and negotiation of tenders, contract changes and compensation events.
9. Providing support for development of preliminary, initial and main gate business case submissions.
10. Providing senior management with appropriate reports to support decision making.
11. Acting as contract specific quantity surveying functional expert in all aspects of price validation and agreement, including dispute resolution.
You’ll need to have:
12. Required qualification = Degree level, HND/HNC
13. Member with a relevant professional body i.e., CIOB, APM, RICS.
14. Having extensive MEP experience is essential.
15. Relevant experience working within large public sector organisations - Defence and/ or Security experience is highly desirable.
16. Construction experience through all RIBA stages in delivering projects, making their own decision and advising other members of the team.
17. Experience in a technical role managing others including working with client and their contractors.
18. Evidence of independent work towards project deliverables, adhering to all relevant procedures, orders and instructions.
19. Ability to provide clerical and technical support.
20. Experience of managing junior members of the team.

22. Ability to manage and monitor progress of any given plan, taking responsibility for activities and workstreams on your own initiative.
23. NEC4 experienced and accredited.
24. A valid security clearance or have no potential bars to you gaining clearance.
25. Familiar with the Microsoft Project application.
