The Marketing & Communications Lead will be responsible for driving both internal and external communications - from crafting engaging press releases and sourcing impactful stories, to delivering employee updates and managing social media content, this role is all about creating compelling narratives that inspire, inform, and elevate our brand. Reporting to our Marketing and Communications Manager, this role will be based in Aberdeen on a hybrid basis, with a blend of home and office working. On a typical day, you'll be Devising and agreeing communication calendars for external and internal communications Drafting and finalising written comms for external and internal use, in accordance with the comms calendars Producing high-quality multimedia content that engages our target audiences and supports our marketing efforts and campaigns Creating tailored communications for customer engagement, including newsletters, product updates, blog posts and other customer-focused materials Creating tailored communications for employee engagement, including newsletters, mailers, blog posts and other employee-focused materials Ensuring consistency of brand voice, style, and quality across all content outputs Driving our social media presence through targeted and thoughtful use of platforms for content distribution and reputation-building Building and maintaining close relationships with all key internal stakeholders for content generation and to understand their communication needs and priorities Building and maintaining positive media relations with journalists on a local, national, international and specialist interest basis, acting as their first point of call for media enquiries Working closely with the SEO team to create content that is optimised for search engines while maintaining engagement and readability Maintaining and supporting the growing Global Insights online library Analysing content performance metrics to continually refine and improve content strategy and execution Does this sound like you? Experienced marketing / communications professional with a proven track record in delivery - ideally supported by a degree qualification in a Marketing or Communications subject Exceptional at writing, editing, and proofreading with a strong eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality output Experienced in creating content for multimedia platforms Creative and innovative, able to transform complex information into engaging content for internal and external use Experienced and knowledgeable in managing business and key figures’ social media accounts Experience in Media Relations and/or Crisis Communications would be an asset Computer literate, able to quickly learn new software systems (Content Management Systems; Newsletter systems; Social media; Microsoft PowerPoint; Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel) Knowledge of design packages and video editing tools is advantageous Flexible, proactive, able to anticipate and plan accordingly
