Holidays Cottage Cleaner - Swanage Summary Important notice In line with our redeployment policy, we’ll prioritise applications from employees who are under formal notice of redundancy. We’re looking for two Holiday Cottage Cleaners to join our team preparing our popular holiday cottage, Portland House in Belle Vue Road in Weymouth. This spectacular art deco villa is managed by the National Trust as a holiday cottage sleeping 12 guests. It is steeped in original art deco features and it is a very special place to work. Salary: 12.25 per hour Contract: Fixed Term Contact until 30-Apr-2026 Hours/ working pattern: This is a zero-hour contract, meaning we can’t guarantee a set number of hours each week. While we aim to provide a consistent work pattern, flexibility is needed as schedules may change based on business needs. We’ll try to give as much notice as possible. The role includes weekends and Bank Holidays. Internally within the National Trust, you will be known as a 'Holidays Operation Assistant'. For this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.. What you'll be doing On changeover days, you’ll work as part of a team to make sure that everything’s pristine and ready for the next guests to arrive. This will include making sure the cottage is thoroughly cleaned, well-presented and welcoming. We’d also like you to keep an eye out for anything that’s not as it should be, and report any repairs or odd jobs that need doing. If you need to, you’ll also replace any broken items from the store supplies. There are also compliance checks to do and records to be kept.
