Adapt teaching strategies to meet a wide range of learner needs, including those with SEND, social/emotional barriers, or low prior attainment
Build positive, professional relationships with learners to promote attendance, engagement, and progression
Monitor learner progress, set targets, and maintain accurate records in line with funding and quality requirements
Work collaboratively with colleagues, employers, and external support services to support learner outcomes
Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion at all timesAbout the Person
The ideal candidate will be a passionate, innovative and forward-thinking teacher, who is highly motivated to improve the chances of young people, particularly those with SEND/ SEMH and are at risk of disengaging from education or employment.
You will create engaging and stimulating learning opportunities for all students through high quality teaching, learning and assessment, adapting your delivery to motivate students with varying needs and confidence levels. An Assessor or IQA qualification would be desirable but is not essential.
This position requires enthusiasm, resilience, the ability to manage challenging behaviour in a supportive and restorative way and most importantly a commitment to the student journey.
