Actual Salary: £17,017

Part-Time, 29 Hours Per Week, Term-Time Only, Permanent (0.65 FTE)

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our busy and professional team.

If you're passionate about supporting learners to achieve their ambitions this role could be for you

You need to have experience of Supporting Learners in a Further Education environment and you will hold a level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification or be willing to work towards the qualification, be keen to support learners and hold Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths.

This support role is subject to the College's Learner Safeguarding, Adults at Risk and Child Protection Policy and requires a commitment to promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.

This position will involve occasional contact with students under the age of 18 within an educational establishment. Although most duties do not fall within the definition of regulated activity, this post is deemed to involve regulated activity with children. As such, the post-holder will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including a check of the Children's Barred List, in line with the statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).

The College may consider carrying out online searches as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).

Please be aware that it is an offence to apply for the role if the candidate is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
