We are recruiting a Tenancy Support Officer for a Housing Association covering the Staffordshire Moorlands area.
Your new role
As a Tenancy Support Officer, you will provide an effective customer-focused tenancy support service, delivering proactive solutions to enable new and existing customers to sustain their tenancy. You will support customers from the start of their journey, supporting them with the allocation process, and then supporting them with their first few weeks of their tenancy, including setting up home, benefit applications, sourcing furniture and setting up utility bills. You will also act as a point of contact for any internal referrals supporting existing customers withplex issues including hoarding tendencies, fleeing domestic violence/abuse or mental health problems.
This is a full-time role, working 35 hours per week from Monday to Friday. You will mainly be based at home, but you will be required on-site a minimum of 1 day per week dependent on case load. It is essential you visit your tenants weekly. You will also be required in the office for any team meetings or training.
What you'll need to succeed
It is essential the successful candidate has knowledge of housing legislation and tenancy/housing management. You will also have an understanding of landlord/tenant/support - care providers and managing agency relationships and responsibilities, and you will have dealt withplex client groups. You will require a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
