Housing Conditions Solicitor

Manchester – £45,000 - £65,000

You’ll be joining a national law firm that boasts a strong reputation, made possible by their exceptional talent – each chosen for their industry knowledge and passion for their field. They want to help you to reach your full potential, love the work you do and deliver the best results for your clients. It’s their goal to make you feel great about working with them.
They work flexibly and you’ll be empowered to work wherever you do your best, balancing your individual needs with the need for you to engage as teams and deliver excellent client service.
Most of our people choose to work in a hybrid fashion, working from home and attending our offices on occasion which are widespread across the UK.

The firm acts for a large number of Registered Providers of Social Housing on all aspects of their housing functions including housing conditions claims, possession actions, antisocial behaviour, leasehold queries and policy and procedure work.
Their asset management team, which handles the departments housing conditions claims, has a strong reputation within the sector and enjoyed significant success at trial defending claims. This has led to an influx of instructions, including pre-litigation and litigated claims. This role will focus on defending housing conditions claims.
1. You will demonstrate talent, ambition and a real interest in the social housing sector. They expect you to have built up enough experience to be able to manage a housing conditions claim, both pre-litigation and litigated files, with minimal supervision, either in house or private practice.
2. The team drafts most of its own pleadings, and you will have gained experience of undertaking such work along with preparing witness statements for use at trial.
3. Advocacy experience will be advantageous, but is not essential.
4. Most importantly you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, being able to adapt your style to communicate effectively with a wide range of professional people, and enthusiastic about delivering excellent quality service to your clients.
5. They expect you to be able to use your initiative, and be a forward-planner, anticipating your clients’ needs in advance wherever possible.
If you think this role is right for you please don't hesitate to reach out and apply now! Anyone with the aforementioned experience is welcomed and encouraged to seize this opportunity today!
Alternatively, If you would prefer an informal chat about the role please don't hesitate to reach out to me personally at or give me a call on 0161 233 6360 ext 11060.
