Deputy Manager - 2 bedded Children's Residential Home
Location: Leigh, Greater Manchester
Salary: £28,828.40 - £38,438.40 per annum, plus £52 per sleep
Hours: 48 hours per week, Full-time, Permanent
Shifts: 4 x 12 hour shifts plus sleeps
Brook Street Social Care, in proud partnership with a respected children's residential care provider in Manchester, is recruiting for experienced and dedicated Deputy Managers to join their compassionate and expanding team.
About the Role:
As a Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting young people with EBD needs in a safe, children centred and structured environment. You will offer support with a team of residential support workers, ensuring the highest quality of care is consistently delivered while promoting positive outcomes for the children and young people in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, support and mentor staff teams throughout the home
* Support young people in care with day to day duties and independence.
* Ensure all safeguarding, compliance, and quality standards are met
* Support the development and implementation of individual care plans
* Build trusting relationships with children, families, and professionals
Requirements:
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* Previous experience as a Deputy Manager or Team Leader ready for the step up within a children's residential provision.
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A genuine passion for making a difference in young people's lives
* Ability to work flexibly, including nights, evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts
* Driver with access to own car
