You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
The International Private Bank (IPB) Technology team is looking to hire a highly motivated individual to be part of Platform modernization Technology team Glasgow. You will be part of a diverse global team supporting our underlying business and partnering with other technology teams to modernize the platform.
Job responsibilities
1. Will be part of high-caliber development team that works closely with business stakeholders in wealth management side to deliver end to end solutions
2. Able to work individually or as part of co-located team/globally distributed team to achieve on time delivery of projects
3. Will be responsible for full software development life cycle –Requirement gathering, design, coding, deployment management, production issue management
4. Adhere to best development standards. TDD/BDD, CICD
5. Deliver high quality code including 90%+ Code coverage
6. Build cloud native applications using private, public, hybrid cloud technologies
7. Willingness to learn and adopt to new technology and tool sets
8. Learn finance domain to work closely with business stakeholders
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
9. Formal training or certification in cloud concepts and proficient applied experience
10. Software development experience using Python Programming
11. Experience with one or more database technologies,. Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL
12. Experience in building REST APIs, AWS Lambda.
13. Experience in test-driven development and testing frameworks
14. Experience in one or more cloud technologies like Cloud foundry, AWS
15. Experience in one or more messaging technologies,. Kafka, IBM MQ
16. Experience in data formats like JSON, XML
17. Experience in Agile development methodologies
18. Experience in CI/CD Jenkins
19. Ability to innovate, high level of motivation to get things delivered
20. Strong interpersonal skills and team building attitude
21. Experience with distributed caches like GemFire, ehCache, Hazelcast
22. Experience in version control tools like SVN, GIT
