Bookkeeper Full-time, Permanent Huntingdon Up to £35,000 P.A In a nutshell Our client is a progressive and growing engineering and manufacturing business based in Huntingdon. With continued growth and exciting projects in the pipeline, they're now looking for a Bookkeeper to join their team and play a key role in supporting the finance function and overall business operations. What's involved for the Bookkeeper Maintain accurate financial records, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using Xero Process accounts payable and receivable Reconcile bank accounts and company ledgers Assist with VAT returns Raise invoices Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes Monitor cash flow and report on financial performance Proactively chase outstanding payments in line with project milestones and agreed payment terms Liaise with internal teams to track project stages and ensure timely and accurate invoicing Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies Liaise with external accountants and auditors when required What you'll need Proven experience in a Bookkeeper or similar finance role Strong working knowledge of Xero accounting software or similar is advantageous Understanding of accounting principles and practices Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong organisational and time management skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team AAT qualification or similar (desirable but not essential) Benefits for the Bookkeeper Competitive salary up to £35,000 per year 20 days holiday plus bank holidays Company pension scheme Stable, full-time permanent position Opportunity to join a growing and innovative business Hours: Full-time, permanent role Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm Ready to bring your finance expertise to a forward-thinking, growing engineering business?
