Overview
Finning Power Rental LP (UK) is a permanent position opportunity for aspiring sales professionals. Finning is the world’s largest Caterpillar dealer, delivering exceptional customer experiences and innovative solutions across a range of industries. The Sales Graduate role is part of a structured graduate programme designed to develop future commercial leaders within our Power Rental division.
Key Responsibilities
* Learn and apply core sales, commercial and customer engagement principles within the power rental market.
* Support the development and management of customer relationships under guidance.
* Assist in handling rental enquiries, preparing quotations, pricing and contract administration.
* Analyse customer data, market trends and sales activity to identify growth opportunities.
* Collaborate with operations, engineering and logistics teams to deliver effective rental solutions.
* Participate in sales meetings, customer visits and account reviews.
* Maintain accurate sales records and pipeline activity using CRM systems.
* Support achievement of sales targets and pipeline objectives under supervision.
* Actively engage in training, coaching and performance feedback to build sales capability.
* Demonstrate Finning values, with a strong focus on safety, customer service and ethical conduct in all interactions.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Completed undergraduate level degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Sales, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Economics, Finance or a related field.
* Experience through internships, placements, part-time work or voluntary roles, particularly where it demonstrates customer interaction experience, understanding of professional workplace standards, strong communication, organisation and problem‑solving skills.
* Strong customer engagement skills with the ability to build rapport and understand customer needs.
* Good communication and persuasion skills, confidence in presenting solutions.
* Commercial awareness, balancing customer needs with business objectives.
* Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with customers and colleagues.
