This role involves providing dedicated support to our International Legal Knowledge Team (ILKT) who support our clients and lawyers on international employment law matters. Key aspects of the ILKT’s work include developing solutions and materials to support our clients with the complexities of managing a global workforce; supporting global employment conferences; organising and delivering training and legal updates on global employment law developments and overseeing, editing and writing client alerts and publications.
Key responsibilities
* Working on international projects including carrying out research relevant to these projects.
* Tracking European directives and their national implementation status.
* Collating and editing global employment law updates and developments.
* Assisting with international podcasts on aspects of global employment law.
* Supporting our flagship "Managing an International Workforce" conference.
* Supporting and assisting lawyers in preparing for conferences and other speaking engagements.
* Conducting legal and know-how research and contributing written material as required.
* Supporting the planning and coordination of training.
* Helping organise, maintain, improve, and expand the employment team’s precedents, know-how materials and knowledge management systems.
About you
Candidates will have any relevant legal qualifications or previous legal experience. Candidates will also have IT (including proficiency in the use of AI), numeracy, practical and analytical skills, a clear communication style (both spoken and written), and above all, must be a team player with a passion to work with a fast‑paced professional and friendly team. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and a proactive ‘can do’ attitude. They must be highly organised, flexible, co‑operative and willing. Prior experience and knowledge of employment law would be advantageous but not essential as extensive training will be provided.
