Main duties of the job The Brain Injury Support Worker role involves providing emotional support, therapeutic base interaction, and companionship to a client in his 70s who has a brain injury following a scooter accident. The client has weakness to the right arm and leg, affecting mobility, and also suffers from vertigo, mild epilepsy, intermittent hearing loss, and tinnitus. The support worker will work with the client's Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic support, which may include giving hand massages and spending time on daily activities such as watching TV, reading, and taking walks around the garden.
