At Hatzfeld we provide residential care for adults with varying needs such as Asperger’s, Schizophrenia or eating disorders to age-related illnesses or Dementia. The position is based at Spring & Stuart House, who support those with dementia. A person-centred care plan is produced tailored to each individual’s specific needs. With residential care services in Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire we have a wide range of different career opportunities available supporting adults with varying levels of need, providing person centred, responsive care. As a Care Manager you will be expected to report to the registered Manager, you will contribute to the delivery of a quality and comprehensive care service within Hatzfeld Care Ltd. To ensure effective running and allocation of work to a team of Seniors and Support Workers, including contributing towards managing the staff rota, performance, health and safety, infection control, conduct and attendance. Continuously striving towards achieving excellence in all areas of practice. Manage the day to day delivery of a high quality, evidence-based person centred, holistic care incorporating meaningful activities for people living with dementia. Maintain up to date knowledge of best practice and developments. Oversee staffing levels to ensure that appropriate levels of staff are maintained, taking appropriate action in the event of any gaps in service. Maintain up to date and accurate records in compliance with Information Governance. Practice within the guidance and legal framework of CQC Regulations and the Essential standards of Quality and Safety, Infection Control, Medication and Confidentiality, and National Medical Council’s standards and guidance. Ensure Information Governance and confidentiality is adhered to at all times Assist with managing budgets and assessments Requirements Experience in Dementia Diploma level 3 (or equivalent) as a minimum in Health and Social Care Knowledge of CQC’s framework Leading and managing the team Experience and skills Essential /Desirable Management or supervisory role within care home Specialist skills and experience in dementia People management skills including best practice in recruitment, selection and performance management Strong decision making and problem-solving skills Conducting service reviews and report writing Good level of IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, internet-based packages) Development and measurement of Quality Assurance systems Care planning and risk assessing.
