Glass Processor The Role: Pearsons Glass is looking for a proactive and reliable colleague to join their production team. As a Glass Processor, you will play an essential role in processing and manufacturing high-quality glass products. Key Responsibilities * Handling and Processing Glass: Safely loading and unloading glass onto production lines or machines, ensuring that glass sheets or components are handled with care to avoid damage. * Packaging: Wrapping products for safe transportation to our customers * Material Handling: Moving raw materials to the production area and organising inventory as needed to keep the production process flowing smoothly. * Quality Control: Conducting quality checks on finished glass products to identify any defects, such as scratches or chips, and reporting any issues to your supervisor. * Operating Machinery: Over time, you will progress to operating various machines involved in cutting, shaping, and processing glass. This includes following operational instructions and adhering to safety guidelines. * Safety and Maintenance: Ensuring all tasks are performed in compliance with health and safety regulations. You will also conduct basic maintenance checks on equipment and report any faults or malfunctions. * General Production Support: Working closely with your team to meet production targets, maintaining a clean workspace, and supporting various tasks as needed to ensure an efficient workflow. What We’re Looking For * Physically fit and confident with manual handling. * Reliable, punctual, and a good team player. * Experience in a warehouse, production, or similar environment is desirable * Strong attention to detail and commitment to health & safety. Working Hours * All work is carried out at our main address, L3 7EH * Shift pattern as follows: * Week 1 – Mon-Thu (Apply online only), Fri (Apply online only) * Week 2 – Mon-Thu (Apply online only), Fri (Apply online only) Salary Hourly paid - standard rate is £12.86, shift rate is £15.17 per hour. Training period may be on days initially then transfer to shift.
