This role is based in Derby and is a hybrid model. Job Description - The Role This role offers the opportunity to join the FA&R (The Financial Accounting and Reporting) team, working closely with the Financial Controller to support financial reporting across the business. It provides broad exposure to Group Finance while acting as the key contact for assigned business areas and supporting finance transformation and strategic objectives. As a Management Accountant, you will: Serve as a global subject matter expert for financial accounting, disclosure notes, and finance systems. Deliver timely, accurate, and reliable financial information to support the assigned businesses in actuals reporting, in accordance with prescribed service level agreements (SLAs). Plan, manage, and execute the inter-group financial processes for the assigned businesses. Prepare and review audit schedules, balance sheet reconciliations, and other financial controls in line with the agreed timetable. Apply your expertise in complex and material foreign exchange entries and remain up-to-date on changes to external accounting standards affecting the Group. Enhance internal and external reporting capabilities by providing guidance on best practices and ensuring sound frameworks, tools, and templates for planning and delivery. Maintain Group-wide networks to proactively support stakeholder requirements through interactive, two-way dialogue. Represent client to external parties, including serving as the primary contact for external auditors on behalf of GBS Finance teams. Apply your knowledge of systems and accounting standards to resolve complex, financially material issues, such as FX hedge accounting and Transformation programmes. Act as the key point of contact for Group Finance, Group Treasury, and Sector Finance leadership for period-end reporting. Coordinate GBS responses to new developments, rules, or standards where relevant, and provide technical leadership across global GBS finance operations teams. What we require from the candidate: Qualified Accountant. Experience of leading teams delivering critical Group-wide services within the GBS Model. A leader, able to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with senior finance leadership to ensure awareness of process obligations in working with a GBS Organisation. Proven track record of developing, executing and delivering external reporting Process improvement mindset Prior GBS financial reporting experience is preferable Working knowledge of SAP ECC and HFM is preferable Next steps We will only accept workers operating via an Umbrella or PAYE engagement model.
