FLT Operative – Food Production
Location: North Somerset (Bristol area)
Salary: £14.00 – £15.00 per hour (paid weekly)
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, between 6:00am – 8:00pm (shift times vary daily)
Duration: Temp to Perm
Start Date: Immediate
We’re seeking a flexible and experienced FLT Operative to join a busy meat food production facility in North Somerset. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be working in chilled environments and must be comfortable working around raw meat products.
The Role:
Operating a Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck to load, unload, and move goods
Supporting warehouse operations including goods-in/out, stock control, and picking
General housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe working environment
Assisting with routine checks and basic maintenance of FLT equipment
Adhering to food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards at all times
The Candidate:
Must hold a valid Reach and/or Counterbalance FLT licence
Comfortable working in a chilled warehouse and around raw meat
Able to work flexibly – some days will involve early starts (from 6:00am), others late finishes (up to 8:00pm)
Physically fit and comfortable lifting items when required
Reliable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and in a team
