We’re on the lookout for an organised, friendly and proactive Executive Assistant to join our team at NFU Scotland for a one-year maternity cover contract. Based near Edinburgh Airport, you’ll be right at the heart of everything we do – supporting our Presidential Team, CEO, Deputy CEO and Board of Directors.
About the role:
You'll be the go-to person for keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. From managing busy diaries and organising travel to making sure Board meetings happen without a hitch (and with the right lunches!), your job is all about making life easier for our senior leaders. You’ll be trusted with confidential information, keep everyone in the loop, and lend a hand wherever needed to keep things ticking over.
A day in the life could include:
* Managing diaries and scheduling meetings (and juggling the occasional calendar chaos!)
* Booking travel and accommodation for the Presidential Team and senior leaders
* Supporting the President’s Committee and Board meetings – from coordinating papers to taking minutes
* Acting as the friendly point of contact between executives, staff, members and external partners
* Organising gifts and cards for staff celebrations and milestones
* Keeping communication flowing and information organised, so that everyone’s in the right place at the right time
About you:
We’re looking for someone who’s super organised, naturally friendly, and able to keep calm when things get busy. You’ll have great attention to detail, strong IT, and feel comfortable handling confidential information. If you’ve worked in a similar EA or PA role before, especially with Boards or Committees, you’ll fit right in.
Bonus points if you’re someone who’s happy to pitch in with a positive attitude, loves variety in their day, and enjoys working with lots of different people.
What you’ll need to bring:
* Top-notch organisational and time management skills
* Brilliant communication – both written and verbal
* Ability to prioritise and juggle tasks when deadlines loom
* Experience with diary management, minute-taking, and general admin support
* A good grasp of common IT packages (Microsoft Office)
* A flexible, can-do attitude and a bit of humour when things get hectic!
