Assistant Quantity Surveyor
The Assistant Quantity Surveyor role is a key position within the Chevron Group, supporting the commercial and senior management teams to ensure efficient contract delivery and exceed budget performance.
Responsibilities include:
1. Assisting in managing costs and submitting journal requests as needed.
2. Reviewing monthly management accounts and key performance indicators.
3. Monitoring and maintaining data within the Company Inhouse Works Management System.
4. Ensuring timely and accurate billing of works.
5. Managing the Early Warning and Compensation Event processes.
6. Handling client disputes.
7. Creating in-contract pricing, estimates, and quotations.
8. Assisting with recovering aged debt and cash collection.
9. Preparing revenue reports and monthly management accounts.
10. Contributing to the overall management of the commercial aspects of contracts, ensuring costs and revenue are recorded in the correct periods.
Candidate Requirements:
* Excellent negotiation skills.
* Experience in a commercial setting.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Confidence with IT/Digital system-led solutions for commercial management.
* Ability to build relationships with clients and suppliers.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
* Knowledge of Temporary Traffic Management.
* Understanding of the NEC form of Contract.
* Knowledge of management accounts and financial reporting processes.
* Previous experience in quantity surveying.
