Our client is a leading European manufacturer of wheat derivatives, including starches, sweeteners, proteins, and alcohol, serving major food and industrial sectors worldwide.
They seek an experienced Site Electrical Engineer with power generation experience to join their team, managing electrical and control systems onsite.
The role involves ensuring the site's electrical/power needs are met, developing safe work systems, and supporting the maintenance team to optimize efficiency.
Responsibilities:
* Performing Senior Authorised Person (SAP) duties up to 11KV.
* Duty Holder for all LV & HV electrical systems.
* Managing operation and repair of large-scale CHP (21MW capacity).
* Reviewing and improving electrical safety standards in compliance with regulations.
* Liaising with project teams and service providers.
* Overseeing HV and LV switchboards, transformers, UPS, power factor correction, variable speed drives, and other electrical equipment.
* Fault diagnosis and developing solutions with the maintenance team.
* Supporting the development of the CMMS Mainsim.
* Managing electrical inspections and documentation under DSEAR.
* Supporting mechanical maintenance with isolations and plant integration.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
* Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering with relevant experience.
* Current SAP or AP status, with aspirations to become an Authorising Engineer.
* Knowledge of electrical equipment and systems (protection, switchgear, generators, transformers, control systems).
* Experience in operational, maintenance, or construction environments, especially power generation.
* Fault diagnosis and solution development skills.
* Understanding of electrical legislation.
