Analyst – Information Request Service

* Based at Piki ki Te Ao (Auckland), Kapiti Digital Centre, Christchurch Precinct or Dunedin Central

* Permanent; Full Time; Monday – Friday predominantly day shifts (no requirements for weekend work or public holidays)

Information Requests are a vital service the Police provide to the New Zealand public, organisations and partner agencies releasing information about the work Police have done. We have vacancies available in our analyst function who will work as part of the Information Request Service, logging requests, responding to requests under the Official Information Act, Privacy Act, and Land Transport Act. Your key role is to collate information and provide responses to requests whilst ensuring compliance with statutory guidelines and legislation. It’s a challenging, interesting, and very important role. Quite simply, you would be our Information Request superheroes. What you’ll be doing :
* Accurately recording and prioritising requests.
* Compiling and analysing information from varied databases.
* Using your initiative to make decisions in accordance with the Official Information and Privacy Acts.
* Providing professional responses to requesters.
* Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Communicating easily and effectively both written and orally.
* Managing conflicting demands. Utu ā-tau | Salary This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $69,337 and $72,430 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
