EVENTS COORDINATOR - Harrogate EVENTS COORDINATOR Full Time 25,000 per annum plus monthly service charge, typically 2,400 per annum 37.5 hours Nestled in the North Yorkshire countryside, Grantley Hall is a five-star, 17th-century property offering a blend of stately grandeur and contemporary luxury. Key Responsibilities • Ensure consistent outstanding enquiry handling processes are implemented with every call, email, online enquiry and walk-in • Handle small incoming enquiries primarily focusing on private dining for groups of up to 20, private afternoon tea bookings and small groups • Produce all event stationery along with menu pre-orders • Assist with the festive booking process during the busy period in the run up to Christmas • Good reactive and proactive sales approach to enquiries, ensuring no sales opportunities are missed • Ensure excellent management of all pre and post event communications • Ensure the booking system is used for each enquiry and completed correctly • Uphold the team SOP’s given to you • Ensure all details for booking are up to date and handed over to the relevant departments • Working with the sales team and the operational team to achieve exceptional service from the beginning to the end of an event booking experience • Use Grantley Hall’s meeting selling strategies and room selling strategies • Ensure use of our agreed Terms & Conditions and deposit policies for all bookings • Complete any additional sales and event oriented tasks, within reason, as requested by the DOSM and GM. • Live the Grantley Hall Values everyday day without compromise Key Skills, Qualities & Experience • Hands on approach to work, always being productive and looking to improve • Strong verbal and written communication skills required • Detail orientated and drives standards • Possess a positive attitude and a desire to learn • The ability to demonstrate a strong customer service ethos and the ability to deliver consistently high levels of service delivery • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure • Friendly, courteous and helpful with excellent communication skills • Motivated to go the extra mile for guests and colleagues • Knowledge of Opera and 7 rooms, Canva and Fango would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be given • Use of own initiative with willingness to go above and beyond in supporting the wider Grantley Hall team Benefits Grantley Hall offers a wide range of benefits and opportunities for all employees: A monthly service charge - typically £2,400 annually 31 days holiday increasing to 33 days with length of service Access to earnings before payday (Wagestream) Free parking Complimentary meals when on duty Discounted modern and spacious live-in accommodation Celebrating success!
