We are hiring - Therapeutic support practitioners for our learning disabilities home in Derby.
Salary: Up to £31,720 per annum
Hours: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours/week)
Shift Pattern: 2 on 2 off including evenings, weekends, and on average 6 sleeps per month .
Sleep-in Rate: £65 per sleep-in (included in total salary package)
Voluntary Overtime Available

You will work alongside experienced practitioners and leaders to offer and deliver nurturing care and support for children and young people who have learning disabilities, autism and associated complex needs .

Your role will see you as a role model to the young people, aiding in improving their overall health and well-being. We want to ensure that our staff team feel valued as that will allow them to ensure that our children receive the best care possible. This will be a home, with a warm homely atmosphere and requires likeminded, motivated, and compassionate support workers to continue to provide outstanding care to our children.
The role of Therapeutic Support Practitioner involves:
Providing outstanding care to children while applying their individual care plans
Taking the children on activities
Liaising with families and professionals to ensure the best possible care is being provided and carried out.
Taking a proactive approach in supporting the children with attending and engaging in their education
To make and maintain accurate records of the childs day, including any incidents that may occur.
Carry out general housekeeping duties, including cooking, cleaning, and completing health and safety checks.
Apply safeguarding knowledge to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone in the home.
Comply with GDPR and Health and Safety regulations.
There are different shift pattern for Day and Night wake support workers.
Day support workers may be required to do sleep-in duties.
What we are looking for from you:
QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or equivalent (highly desirable)
Experience in a children's home setting or working with young people who have learning disabilities and additional needs (essential)
Supervisory experience (essential)
Passion to help nurture young people (essential)
Be able to work shift patterns including sleep ins (essential)
Full, UK driving licence (essential)
What we can offer:
A highly competitive salary up to £31,720, dependent on skills, experience, and qualifications (£65 per sleep in - average 6 per month)
A noncontractual annual rewards and recognition scheme, based on individual performance indicators and the performance of the home and the outcomes of the children - earnings can be up to £1000 - subject to terms and conditions.
Enrolment onto the fully funded QCF level 3 & 4 in children and young peoples residential homes qualification
A condensed rota pattern, consisting of 2 days on and 2 days off transitioning to 2 on 4 off.
Robust and comprehensive paid induction, and continued training and development within each role.
Support and progression opportunities within the home and the provider as they continue to grow within the sector.
