About the Role You will: Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and challenging Mathematics lessons in line with the national curriculum. Support students to achieve their potential in GCSE Maths through excellent teaching, assessment and feedback. Use data to monitor and track student progress, identify under-achievement, and implement targeted interventions where required. Participate in collaborative departmental planning, sharing resources and best practice. Contribute to extra-curricular maths support (e.g. intervention sessions, clubs, revision workshops) as needed. Support the school’s inclusive ethos by adapting teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with additional needs. About the Academy The School is a mixed 11–16 secondary school based in Southampton. Candidate Profile We are looking for a candidate who: Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Has strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and a passion for teaching maths at KS3 and KS4. Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills. Is committed to inclusion, supporting all pupils (including those with SEND or additional needs). Works well in a team — contributing to collaborative planning, resource sharing and department development. Is dedicated to raising attainment, supporting interventions, and fostering numeracy confidence in all students.
