At Octopus, we’re working to reinvent face-to-face activity by combining better customer data, our innovative tech platform (Kraken Technologies), and local targeted marketing to create more detailed and engaging conversations with small business owners. As a frontline representative of our brand, you’ll showcase the best of Octopus Energy Business.
What you'll do
* Communicate with businesses; Our Business Energy Helpers spend their time talking to small business owners and decision makers, explaining the benefits of renewable energy and helping them switch to Octopus Energy Business.
* We are obsessed with excellent customer experience and strive to ensure every interaction leaves customers feeling positive about Octopus, regardless of whether they switch.
* Engage with customers through various channels, primarily at their business locations, but also at venues, events, and conferences across the country. Our Business Energy Helpers manage these engagements.
* Gather customer feedback to help shape our small business products, including tariffs and initiatives, making sure our offerings meet customer needs.
* Enhance the customer experience by discussing domestic energy, solar, heat pumps, and other services, using the tools provided to facilitate these conversations.
What you'll need
* Ability to work both in small teams and autonomously; self-motivation and confidence to work independently are essential.
* Honesty and a diligent work ethic; our teams love helping customers and each other.
* Previous experience in a B2B role or energy industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
* Understanding of the sales cycle, including diary planning and pipeline management, is helpful.
* A friendly, collaborative attitude; we value regular team check-ins and informal meetings over formal corporate sessions.
* Willingness to learn, work with skilled colleagues, and treat everyone with fairness and respect.
