About the Role
This role is working Monday to Friday but hours will differ based on the client needs and supporting the sites; it will be looking after only schools, so a DBS check is required (we can arrange this for you if you do not have one).
As Cleaning Area Manager, you will ensure that cleaning staff perform their duties efficiently, maintain high cleanliness standards, and contribute to a safe and hygienic environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a small team, looking after rotas, holidays, and performance, and responsible for delivering training to all cleaning operatives and ensuring all records are updated correctly.
* Responsible for conducting cleaning audits on a weekly basis and escalating any areas of concern.
* Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
* Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
* Using heavy industrial equipment, specialist chemicals and working at heights as required.
Qualifications
* Right to work in the UK.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
* A background working in a cleaning or food manufacturing environment is advantageous.
* Willingness to work at height.
* COSHH and IOSH training desirable.
