Your new role
As the Purchasing Assistant, you will ensure that all materials required for production are available when needed, supporting uninterrupted operations and on-time delivery. You will monitor stock levels, maintain accurate ERP and planning data, and proactively adjust supply plans to prevent shortages. Day-to-day, you will:
1. Monitor material availability and adjust supply plans to meet operational demand.
2. Maintain accurate data across ERP and MRP systems.
3. Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any delivery or inventory discrepancies.
4. Keep material requirements and stock levels up to date for all stocked SKUs.
5. Raise purchase orders in line with stock strategy targets.
6. Check order acknowledgements and escalate supply risks with proposed solutions.
