The Role
We are seeking an accomplished Infrastructure Specialist with deep expertise in the Microsoft technology stack. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in the design, deployment, and management of Hyper‑V, Hyper‑V clusters, and full SCVMM implementations. Strong competencies in virtualisation, storage, and networking are essential to succeed in this role.
Day-to-day At Ekco
* Deliver all assigned activities to the highest professional standards.
* Ensure all issues are resolved within agreed SLAs, providing robust and sustainable remediation.
* Perform daily infrastructure checks across monitoring platforms, datacentre services, and critical systems.
* Escalate major incidents promptly and appropriately within the Infrastructure Team.
* Work collaboratively with the Infrastructure Team to maintain the security, reliability, and availability of all hosted services.
* Support and enhance client satisfaction by maintaining a high standard of service delivery.
* Produce comprehensive documentation for all new systems and services, including procedures and operational manuals.
* Adhere to and promote all Infrastructure Team processes, standards, and best practices.
* Design, deploy, and manage Hyper‑V clusters and associated virtualisation components.
* Integrate, configure, and manage storage solutions within the infrastructure environment.
What We Are Looking For
* Proven, hands‑on experience with Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM).
* Experience working with Azure.
* Demonstrated expertise in designing, deploying, and managing storage solutions, along with practical experience working with Dell server hardware.
* Previous experience working within an IT service provider or professional services environment (highly desirable).
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to systematically gather and interpret relevant information to identify and resolve issues.
* Experience working with infrastructure monitoring tools and platforms.
