Apply Now Join Our Team at Strabane Family Centre & Family Support Hub Position: Project Worker 2 - Child and Family Support Worker Hours: 31.6 per week Contract Type: 15.8 hours permanent and 15.8 hours fixed term until March 2027 (with possibility of extension subject to funding) Location: Strabane Family Centre & Family Support Hub, 2a Melmount Rd, Strabane BT82 9BT Salary: D(PW2) £28,124.46-£37,116.78 FTE About Strabane Family Centre & Family Support Hub Strabane Family Centre and Family Support Hub is a well-established, vibrant service that supports families and children and young people aged 0-18 years. We provide support in Strabane Town and in the surrounding rural areas. We have a small but dedicated staff team and deliver a range of support services dedicated to improving outcomes for children, young people and their families. Role Overview As a Child and Family Support Worker (PW2), you will play a key role in providing support to parents, children and young people. You will: Provide direct 1:1 and group work support to parents, children and young people. Maintain strong links with support services within the community and make onward referrals to access support for parents, children and young people. Contribute to team meetings and provide support and/or supervision to students or volunteers. Contribute to relevant professional and multi-disciplinary meetings. Contribute to service planning, review, and development. Support the Children's Services Manager and colleagues in the delivery of high quality, inclusive services. Essential Criteria To be considered for an interview, you must demonstrate on your application how you meet the following: Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development or a related field, or a qualification above this, e.g. Degree in Early Childhood Studies or a related field. Experience of working within multi-disciplinary teams. Experience of attending professional meetings. Experience of applying safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures. Experience of working directly with children and young people aged 0-18 and their families. Hold a full UK/EU driving licence, business insurance and access to a car for work purposes (this criteria will be waived for candidates with a disability who can demonstrate alternative means of meeting the mobility requirements of the post). Desirable Criteria Experience of supporting and/or supervising staff, volunteers, or students. Experience of providing group work programmes to parents and children.
