Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of our café. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts, combined with excellent leadership and team management skills. As the Café Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and fostering a positive work environment for all staff.
Duties
* Oversee daily café operations, ensuring a high standard of service and quality.
* Supervise and train café staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and customer service.
* Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health standards.
* Develop menus that reflect seasonal offerings and customer preferences.
* Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
* Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
* Monitor financial performance and assist in budgeting processes.
Skills
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a café or restaurant setting.
* Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food production processes.
* Background in hospitality with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen environments.
* Culinary experience that includes menu development and creative presentation of dishes.
* Familiarity with barista duties is advantageous but not essential.
