The Opportunity
We’re recruiting Counter Service Assistants for several schools in SE London — all offering short, family-friendly shifts of just 3 hours per day.
Perfect for parents, carers, students, or anyone wanting meaningful work that fits around their life. You’ll be at the heart of the dining experience: serving nutritious meals, supporting kitchen teams, and helping students enjoy a positive, welcoming lunchtime.
What You Will Do
* Serve meals efficiently and with excellent customer service
* Assist with simple food preparation and presentation
* Keep counters, dining areas, and service stations clean, safe, and well-stocked
* Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and compliance
* Provide a warm, approachable presence to students and staff
* Carry out any reasonable task requested by your manager
What We’re Looking For
* A positive, friendly, customer-focused attitude
* Great communication and teamwork skills
* Reliability and a willingness to learn
* Over 18 years old
* Enhanced DBS preferred (we can support with this for the right candidate)
Location
Multiple school sites across South East London, including:
Addey & Stanhope, Childeric, Delucy, Eliot Bank, Gordon, Invicta Blackheath, James Wolfe Randall, Kelvin Grove, Kilmorie, Lintonmead, Rathfern, St James Hatcham, Torridon, Willowdene Oakmere, Wingfield Primary School
(Placement will be matched to your nearest or most suitable school.)
Hours
School-day shifts of 3 hours per day. Typically 5 days a week.
Typically between 11:00am – 2:00pm depending on the school.
No evenings. No late nights. No weekends.
