We’re looking for friendly, reliable and enthusiastic individuals to help make lunchtimes a great experience for our clients. If you enjoy working with food and have a passion for great customer service, this could be the perfect role for you!
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Helping prepare and serve nutritious community meals
2. Following training, to deputise for the cook to cover annual leave and absence.
3. Washing up and keeping the kitchen clean and tidy
4. Supporting the cook with food prep and cooking
5. Following hygiene and safety procedures
6. Completing kitchen paperwork ( cleaning schedules, temperature logs)
What We’re Looking For:
7. A caring attitude and a team spirit
8. Good communication skills – especially with children
9. Basic literacy and numeracy
10. Awareness of food hygiene, allergens, and safeguarding
11. Willingness to complete training ( Manual Handling, Food Hygiene)
This is a physically active role in a busy school kitchen, so you’ll need to be comfortable with standing, lifting, and working at pace. Flexibility is appreciated, especially during school events.
