Position Role: SO2 Engagement Diversity & Inclusion is the principal advisor within the Army in Scotland engt staff on how best to access, engage and attract youth audiences in the 11-18 age range. The role leads the delivery of Youth CHALLENGE events (bespoke youth engt activity events), STEM engagement and the development of networks/relationships with the principal stakeholders who provide access to youth, including uniformed youth organisations and under-represented groups in Scotland. The role also develops links to draw on appropriate female, LGBT and ethnic minority military role models to promote the diversity and inclusivity of the Army in Scotland. Responsibilities: 1. HQ lead for Army Youth Challenge events, advising and supporting designated units, coordinating external support through appropriate staff branches, using innovation to engage and enthuse audiences, and coordinating the generation and delivery of audiences to the events. 2. Coordinate Army in Scotland STEM engagement, outreach, develop and coordinate the STEM Ambassador network. 3. In collaboration with WO2 Youth Engagement and Regional Engt Warrant Officers, develop and continuously improve RET outreach delivery (activities and projects). 4. Create partners and affirm advocates at the operational level in Scotland who can influence and secure access to youth audiences within organised youth groups, young females, LGBTQ, and ethnic minority communities. 5. Develop and coordinate Army in Scotland Multi-Cultural, LGBTQ and female focused messaging. 6. Inform and advise the chain of command on youth and educational requirements for training RET and unit engagers, including statutory and Army safeguarding policy. 7. Develop opportunities to connect youth and educational gatekeeper requirements and needs with Army in Scotland engagement activities, producing and exploiting audio-visual media and social media to market Army engagement opportunities to stakeholders. 8. BPT Support and Deliver on additional projects as directed by the CofC.
