Head of Training Logistics Solutions
Westbury, Wiltshire with Hybrid Working

Our Training product line ranges between CBT (Computer-based-training) through to high-fidelity, full-mission simulators for military and civilian domains.
Our logistics product range includes aircraft ground support equipment, automatic test equipment, health and usage monitoring systems and logistic support software.
We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Training & Logistics Professional to become the main Point of Contact between our Training and Logistics Teams and our UK operating structure.
You will coordinate business across all Training and Logistics programmes operating in the UK to ensure consistent adherence to defined processes and procedures.
You will also, for the period of the capture be the full time leader and motivator of the Army Collective Training System (ACTS) - Alliance team, working to a winning solution and be the face to the customer.
You will develop complex solutions into outcomes to meet customer outputs on a service basis.
The role will see you collaborating across industry and with customers to bring inclusivity to solutioning Customer problems.

The role is a mix of hybrid working and visits to our site in Westbury, and will require some travel occasionally to Army and MOD sites where training takes place.
What will I be doing?
* the Training and Logistics Point Of Contact to address/resolve all identified problems or concerns related to existing and new
* responsibility for P&L for the Land Training portfolio.
* with Programme Managers to ensure that all programmes executing in the UK are being properly supported by the our colleagues in our Rotary & Mission Systems group.
* the main liaison between TLS Senior Leadership Team and RMS UK Group Managing Director with responsibility for representing TLS viewpoints and interests at RMS UK leadership meetings.
* directly with RMS UK Group Managing Director to ensure any new sovereign programme or process guidance is supported and implemented on TLS UK programmes in a manner that does not impact performance.
* to ensure appropriate resources are assigned to adequately support TLS new business opportunities in UK.
* the development of a winning Training and Logistics solution for a major capture valued in billions of pounds) and be the face of our Alliance team to the customer.
* and guide a cross-functional team consisting of Lockheed Martin and six industry partners (a mixture of defence, non-defence, corporate organisations and SMEs), to develop the technical solution for the Army Training System capture, and advance through the capture to contract award.
* program and project management experience to define a solution that meets the requirements of the ACTS capture for each of the 26 required service deliveries.
* with our Head of Training to be the direct interface to the UK MoD customer for Alliance, engaging with Army senior stakeholders to build relationships, shape and define future requirements.
* the solution for the ACTS contract award through engagement with the customer and written solutions in the Invitation to Negotiate (ITN)1 and 2 stages of the acquisition.
* strong relationships with the Alliance industry partners (working and leadership level) to drive team collaboration and cohesion.
* with and present to LM senior leadership on the advancement of our solution through the ACTS capture.
* with TLS and RMS UK to ensure support for TLS new business opportunities in UK.
* Business Development Teams to grow the business.
Skills required:
* The role requires an individual with broad industrial leadership skills with experience in both Programme and Customer facing roles.
* Experience of Service based commercial contracting models.
* C-Suite stakeholder influence and engagement skills able to deliver compelling and credible arguments both internally and externally.
* to collaborate across industry and customers and bring inclusivity to solutioning Customer problems.
* focused with strong skills in developing customer intimacy and trust.

* with UK MOD procurement process and Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT)
* to work collocated with the customer in the Warminster and/or Andover area and supporting overseas collective training events as required
Desired Skills:
* in both engineering lifecycle and program management disciplines, ideally within Military Land Training
* working with similar MoD customer sets.
* in opportunity identification and winning strategies.
Qualifications and Experience :
Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
