Role and location
We currently have a requirement for a Project Manager based in the UK. The successful candidate will work with the customer management team to deliver solutions across our software products, including mobile computing and communication software, back office software solutions and hosted environments. Domestic travel within the EMEA region will be required.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the successful end-to-end delivery of software implementation projects.
* Drive focused delivery of all aspects of project management including scope definition, risk management, adaptable scheduling, resource management, and consistent documentation and reporting.
* Be results-oriented and ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and within scope by leading through influence with strong soft skills.
* Provide regular reporting to applicable managers, executive team, and the client as required.
* Audit, monitor and lead correction processes to ensure project and resource data are maintained according to standards and methodologies.
* Escalate issues in a timely and tactful manner.
* Participate in resolution of issues and conflicts, internally and with clients or other vendors where appropriate.
* Ensure the portfolio of projects is well documented and meets defined goals.
* Engage in scoping and requirements gathering for new and existing projects as necessary.
* Provide leadership to the project implementation team.
* Demonstrate strong IT skills and the ability to understand customer requirements and relate them to delivery teams as appropriate.
* Proficiency in SQL and MS technology stack including business intelligence.
Qualifications
* Degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Studies or equivalent.
* Experience delivering projects using SQL Server and MS technologies.
* 5+ years of IT project management experience.
* Experience delivering technical consultancy and/or software implementation to external customers.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; client-facing experience and ability to drive actions to completion.
* Good knowledge of software engineering principles.
* Practical experience with databases, Microsoft SQL Server, hosted solutions, and web services.
* Project Management Qualification would be an advantage.
