In this vital role, you'll help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your work will directly support health and wellbeing throughout the hospital. What you'll do: Complete scheduled cleaning tasks in assigned areas in line with policies and procedures.Maintain high cleanliness standards and safely dispose of domestic and clinical waste.Replenish consumables and manage cleaning stock and equipment in compliance with COSHH.Carry out a range of cleaning duties, including floors, surfaces, sanitary areas, and waste collection.Use PPE, approved equipment, and follow safety guidelines at all times.Respond to ad-hoc cleaning requests as directed.Work with clinical staff to provide a patient-focused service.Report maintenance or care issues and undertake additional duties as required.What you bring: Working within a cleaning team, dealing with waste, smells, bodily excretions and dirtShow empathy, care and compassionAbility to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, colleagues, clientsAbility to work independently, flexibly and professionally – dealing with stressful and changeable situationsAbility to adhere to instructions, standards and proceduresAbility to build relationships and show respect for other peoplePositive attitude and enthusiasmAbility to work as part of a teamExcellent customer service skills Basic literacyPhysically able to push a cleaning trolley and move light furnitureHigh standard of personal hygieneWhat we offer: Working at Sodexo isn't just a job — it's a chance to make a difference every day.
