Job Description:
Role Summary
This position supports the event team in delivering high-impact live and virtual experiences. The role requires a balance of project management, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on execution to ensure events run seamlessly.
Critical Duties
1. Develop event strategies that align with business objectives, enhance attendee experience and deliver measurable outcomes.
2. Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of webinars and in-person events, including leading cross-functional planning calls, strategy alignment, event design, logistics and post-event analytics and reporting.
3. Oversee logistics for in-person events, such as ordering show services, booth and demo design, exhibit house coordination and managing all on-site details.
4. Plan and execute event content, campaigns and promotions that drive engagement and growth.
5. Partner with regional and global MarCom teams to ensure cohesive execution across all events.
Key Responsibilities
6. Coordinate all operational logistics for assigned events and tradeshows (live and virtual).
7. Gain proficiency in event technology platforms (Cvent, Airtable, JiffleNow, AEM, Tableau, and others) to streamline planning and reporting.
8. Manage the virtual event process and provide oversight of the ON24 platform.
9. Take ownership of special projects or administrative tasks as assigned.
10. Support administrative functions as needed, including managing promotional products, maintaining exhibit properties, and overseeing event inventory.
11. Coordinate with Microchip’s American and Asian Marcom teams to successfully execute global synergy across all events.

16. Proficiency in MS Office (Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
17. Experience with event management tools (e.g., Cvent, Aventri), webinar platforms (e.g., ON24), marketing platforms (AEM), and analytics tools (Tableau) is highly desirable.
Requirements/Qualifications:

Education
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or equivalent work experience in a fast-paced corporate Marketing or Communications department.
Knowledge
Extensive knowledge of and proficiency in MS Office (Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); some experience with event management technology tools (Cvent or Aventri) is preferred; experience with the ON24 (or similar) webinar platform is also preferred. Additional technologies such as inventory management tools desired.
18. Working knowledge of the broader marketing function, tradeshows, event or meeting planning.
19. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; sharp grammar skills. Ability to effectively and professionally present orally and in written form to all levels within the company.
20. Experience promoting events across all channels.
21. Extensive experience handling multiple projects for various customers and ensuring accuracy toward completion.
22. Able to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.
23. Flexibility and strength in dealing with tight deadlines and rapidly changing situations.
Travel
24. Approximately 10% travel required. May involve some international.
Experience
Five to seven years of experience in marketing, event management, corporate communications or related experience; high-technology and/or business-to-business experience required. Prior experience in semiconductor industry a plus.
