to appoint a
UK HR Director
.
Our client is a market leader in the provision of heavy-duty capital equipment for the transport of goods. With revenues of well over £100M and an employee base of over 500, this role will be crucial in supporting the business in scaling their growth over the next 5+ years. This is a
board-level position
, reporting directly to the UK CEO, and represents a rare opportunity to shape and deliver the people strategy for a complex, multi-division business undergoing transformation and growth.
Key responsibilities:
* Create and implement a forward-looking
People Plan
aligned to growth and business transformation.
* Lead and develop the HR and payroll functions, embedding best practice across the employee lifecycle.
* Drive a step-change in
recruitment, retention, and employee engagement
, making the business a destination employer.
* Deliver key HR projects, including the adoption of a new HRIS, payroll and ATS upgrades, and learning & development platforms.
* Partner with the executive team on
M&A integration
and harmonisation of terms and conditions.
* Own and embed leadership development frameworks, ensuring consistent management capability across the business.
* Act as a visible, influential board member, shaping the organisation's
culture, structure, and leadership capability

About you:
We are seeking a
seasoned HR leader
with the credibility and gravitas to operate at board level in a fast-moving, growing business. You will combine strategic HR expertise with a willingness to "get stuck in" and support operational delivery. Experience in multi-site, operationally complex businesses (sales, rental, distribution, or industrial services) would be an advantage.
The package:
* Upto £120,000 base salary
(depending on experience)
