Locum Consultant Interventional Cardiologist
The post holder will aid in the development and provision of comprehensive modern cardiology intervention. The post holder will work across site, at Eastbourne DGH and Conquest Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The cardiac intervention will be at the Eastbourne site. There will be outpatient clinics and ward rounds at both hospitals. The majority of clinics will be at the Eastbourne site. There is a primary angioplasty rota which is currently support by six interventional cardiologists.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* MB BS or equivalent
* Membership or Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians Full Registration with GMC
* MD or equivalent
Training/Experience
* Wide experience in all aspects of Cardiology, with a specialist interest.
* Training in coronary intervention
* Training/experience in complex coronary intervention (CTO or Rotablation)
* Experience in other relevant medical specialities
Admin/managment
* Evidence of participation in management
* Understanding of recent initiatives and changes, including Clinical Governance and Appraisal
* Management course and/or qualifications
* Knowledge of the structure of Health Service
Audit/research/Publications
* Thorough understanding of principles of medical audit
* Understanding of the role of research
* Completion and/or Publication of audit projects
* Experience of clinical research culminating in presentation and publication of original studies, review articles, etc, relevant to speciality
* Ability to lead clinical research project
* Effective communicator, able to work in a multi-disciplinary team
* Familiarity with information technology and general computer skills.
* Ability to work with colleagues in other specialities to develop local services.
* Professional attitude towards work
* Good record of attendance
* UK Driving Licence
