Chalk Hill Group are supporting a fast-growing and highly respected accountancy and advisory firm in their search for a Personal Tax Assistant Manager, based in Wokingham.
This role offers the chance to work with a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals, sole traders, business owners and trusts, within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. Responsibilities:
* Manage a portfolio of c.150 personal tax clients
* Prepare and review personal tax returns
* Handle HMRC enquiries and disclosures
* Support Making Tax Digital (MTD) filings
* Prepare P11Ds and Capital Gains Tax returns
* Liaise directly with clients and HMRC
* Assist on advisory work (residence, CGT, IHT, trusts)
* Manage deadlines and workflow effectively
Candidate Profile:
* CTA qualified
* Extensive personal tax experience
* Excellent communication and organisational skills, with ability to explain complex tax provisions to clients
* Experience with tax software (CCH desirable)
* Knowledge of residence rules and trust taxation advantageous
