Job Title: 3.5 Tonne Delivery Driver
Pay: £13.50 – £14.00 per hour
Location: Crawley, West Sussex
Duration: Temp to Perm
First Recruitment Services is partnered with our client based in Crawley who seek 3.5 Tonne Multi-Drop Delivery Drivers on a Temporary to Permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are immediately available and seeking a new role.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and obtain customer authorisation, ensuring all documentation is submitted to management promptly.
2. Complete all deliveries using the mobile link system for electronic proof of delivery (EPOD).
3. Be prepared to handle and lift heavy items or parcels as required.
4. Drive responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
5. Conduct thorough vehicle checks before and after each journey.
6. Contact customers by phone to provide updates on delivery times if delays or changes occur.
7. Maintain regular communication with management to stay informed of any updates to delivery schedules, routes, or instructions.
8. Record and monitor all customer orders and collection documentation accurately.
9. Ensure all customer orders are correctly picked, packed, checked, and dispatched either via courier or loaded onto delivery vehicles, with all necessary paperwork completed.
Experience:
10. Possess a valid full driving licence with no more than three penalty points.
11. Demonstrated experience in warehouse delivery operations.
12. Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and customers.
13. Capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritising workload efficiently.
14. High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in work and documentation.
15. Familiarity with warehouse procedures including picking, checking, loading, and dispatching goods
16. Solid knowledge of road networks and geographical areas to support efficient route planning.
