Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals within care homes and home care settings. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Duties
* Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Support clients with mobility and daily routines in accordance with personalised care plans
* Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life
* Help with feeding as required
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to senior staff
* Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients at all times
* Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and team members to ensure consistent care delivery
* Use IT systems to document care activities and update client records where necessary
Qualifications
* Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
* Good understanding of care plans and ability to follow instructions accurately
* Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
* Basic IT skills for documentation purposes
* Excellent communication skills, empathetic nature, and the ability to build rapport with clients
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a caring environment
