As a Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including supported living, nursing homes, and residential services. Duties
* Provide personal care to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support clients with meal preparation and dietary needs, ensuring nutritional requirements are met.
* Engage in behaviour management techniques to support clients with challenging behaviours.
* Facilitate social interaction and recreational activities to promote mental well-being.
* Conduct light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and their families.
* Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate professionals.
Skills
* Experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or similar environments is desirable.
* Strong caregiving skills with the ability to provide patient care compassionately.
* Proficiency in first aid procedures is beneficial for ensuring client safety.
* A valid driving licence may be required for transporting clients as needed.
* Excellent communication skills to interact positively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
