We are currently working in partnership with a Construction and Property Consultancy based in Cambridgeshire, who are recruiting for a Senior Surveyor on a Permanent contract. The position is due to start as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
* Undertaking contract administration on projects within the public and commercial space
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients, providing professional advice and identifying new business opportunities
* Assisting the wider Building Surveying team with regards to general Building Surveying duties, providing advice and guidance on building surveys, condition reports, party wall matters, defects and other related areas
* Sharing knowledge with the wider practice and mentoring junior members of the team
Experience
* Experience of Pre-contract matters and the ability to take a project through its lifecycle
* Familiarity with standard forms of contract including the JCT suite
Qualifications
* BSc or MSc in Building Surveying
* MRICS or other appropriate further qualification or significant progress towards qualification
Skills, knowledge and expertise required
* Good communication and people skills with the ability to produce good quality written reports
* Mentoring skills to help develop more junior staff
* A full and detailed working knowledge of the most widely used forms of building contract
